Dr. Kingsley Westerman is interested in helping you improve internal communication at your company. Her career has been devoted to study of relationships in organizations, including manager-employee relationships and coworker relationships. She has given invited seminars on topics ranging from supervisor-employee communication to personal development to difficult conversations at work. She can recommend topics that address common communication issues in organization or tailor specific seminars to your needs.
Dr. Kingsley Westerman is an experienced educator and trainer. She has worked with students ranging from first-year to doctoral. In addition to her 15+ years of teaching college students, she has extensive experience working with adult learners, including years working for the U.S. government developing and delivering safety training for coal miners. She has been invited to present to leaders in the North Dakota Air National Guard, doctoral physical therapy students at the University of Jamestown, faculty in the NDSU College of Human Development and Education, faculty in the NDSU College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and the NDSU Academic Leaders series.

Dr. Westerman has spent his career learning about how people interact both through and with technology. Previously, Dr. Westerman has worked with various audiences of corporate and educational learners to help them learn how to use technology more effectively in their jobs and careers. He is interested in helping you consider how to use technology to help manage and communicate more effectively, both in and out of the workplace, including on topics such as navigating work-from-home environments and online meetings.
Dr. Westerman has worked for 20+ years educating college students at major universities including Michigan State University, West Virginia University, and his current position at North Dakota State University. He has worked with students ranging from first-year to doctoral-level students. He has supplemented his educational background with two years of training in active learning, a sought-after technique for engaging learners of all ages, and an “externship” spent working with the Grey Group in New York City through the ANA Education Foundation. Dr. Westerman is affiliated with the Communication and Social Robotics lab at Western Michigan University, has presented on the use of technology for corporate interests at SXSW in Austin, Texas, and served on the SXSWedu Advisory Board.
